New Year, New Journey

Baby It’s Cold Outside

Despite the cold arctic like temperatures we are facing in the Midwest this week, I can feel things really starting to heat up!  Of course, I’m referring to the state of digital transformation going on in organizations of all sizes. Almost every organization or leader I meet lately is ready to make substantive changes to infrastructure, data platform and dare I say, artificial intelligence strategy.

Backing Up 6 Months

So I didn’t just wake up to the realization that massive digital transformation was on its way on 2018.01.01.  I’ve been brewing and stewing on what felt like a big shift in my area of expertise for many months now.  And much of the excitement and some healthy discomfort has been driven by Microsoft’s vision coming out of Ignite last summer.  Many attendees I talked to drove home the point Microsoft was going to deliver artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to the citizen technologist without the need for PhDs and the like.  So the investments have been made, the frameworks are in place and now its time to adopt!

What Happens Next?

Most of you that know me are aware I left a dream job at SWC Technology Partners in December and joined the Healthcare and Life Sciences team at Microsoft as a data/ai specialist where I will embrace new challenges and opportunities and continue to do that which I love the most, helping customers innovate and grow!

Why Chad Says?

This is a bit of an inside joke between my brother Kevin and myself.  My brother had this idea of a food truck where the menu would change every day based on how he felt when he woke up and the truck name would be “Kevin Says”.  In the spirit of Kevin’s food truck idea, I created this personal blog space where I can talk about anything and everything I’m passionate about.  For those that don’t know me, the list is fairly broad:

  • Azure Topics
  • Microsoft Data Platform
  • Advanced Analytics
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Machine Learning
  • Home Brewing (as in brewing IPA and Pale Ale beers in my garage with friends)
  • BBQ – Competition BBQ and BBQ for fun
  • Cooking and Baking
  • Ice Fishing
  • Gardening
  • Minnesota Vikings – SKOL!

Hope you enjoyed this inaugural blog and look forward to your feedback!
